I use a yellow one because it's easier to see the sharpie coming of than with darker colors.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14775518893472709306noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2205234273837988960.post-26522993815550438872013-05-04T21:41:38.112-07:002013-05-04T21:41:38.112-07:00Thanks for posting this! I noticed you tried fusing silver + silver in a few of your pictures: the ring with bezel triangles, the circles with a wavy line through them, and the earrings with the little flowing upsidedown "U" shapes ending in beads. Did you have to file the wire to get the pieces to bond? Like your little granulation, did you file the edge of the ball and the edge of the wire, or did it melt together. Most of what I have read on the internet so far only talks about fusing flush cut ends to create a circle.
Thank you : )
ShanAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2205234273837988960.post-73384437550717192042012-06-04T21:02:22.075-07:002012-06-04T21:02:22.075-07:00Thanks everyone for the nice comments and helpful ...Thanks everyone for the nice comments and helpful suggestions.Laura Brackenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02364303327135116922noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2205234273837988960.post-64324538533963672962012-03-20T13:51:26.346-07:002012-03-20T13:51:26.346-07:00Wow! who knew you could play with chemicals and ge...Wow! who knew you could play with chemicals and get such beauty out of it. I tried the ammonia and got nothing all that exciting either. I'll be totally honest I love MisFickleMedia (spelling?) patina's they are color and bright and predictable. More expensive for sure but when I want bright color at least I know I can get them with hers. Looks like you guys had a great time, I am impressed with your detailed notes, that's one area I always fail on.
